Since our last notice in the summer of 2023, the Halifax, Nova Scotia ecclesia has been blessed with the visits of several brothers and sisters from Toronto, Hamilton and Kitchener-Waterloo (Ontario); Sussex (New Brunswick); Victoria (BC); and Wellington (New Zealand).

We are grateful to brethren Frank Abel, Michael Carr and Steve Crouch for their much-appreciated words of exhortation. We would also like to thank brother Chris Sales (Collingwood, Ontario) for leading our online Bible seminars in 2023 and 2024. Tzipora Snobelen began a life in Christ in the summer of 2024 when she was baptised in Collingwood, Ontario. She is a welcome addition to the Halifax ecclesia, now as a member. We are grateful to the Collingwood ecclesia for their help with Tzipi’s interview and baptism.

With sorrow but with faith in the resurrection, our brother John Ching fell asleep in Christ at the age of 70 in April 2025 after a long struggle with cancer, which he bore with grace and a positive spirit. Brother John was born in Christchurch, New Zealand and joined our ecclesia in 2011. His first wife sister Tina passed away in 2005. He married sister Sair in 2011 and leaves behind her as well as his and Tina’s daughter Elizabeth. We thank brother Steve Crouch of New Zealand for leading brother John’s service. Sister Sair Ching has moved to Sussex, New Brunswick and has transferred to the ecclesia there. We commend her with love and are grateful to both her and John for their faithful service for a decade and a half.

Our ecclesia is now down to six members. We are always appreciative of visits and support at any time of the year. The metropolitan area of Halifax is economically vibrant and growing, with almost a half million residents. Any brother or sister or family interested in moving to this region for the short-term or long-term to help us maintain our light stand here are encouraged to reach out to us at our ecclesial e-mail address: nschristadelphians@gmail.com.
