Modern Idolatry

Part 5 – Babel is Back in Style

Our series Modern Idolatry is about idol-pushers who wish to reverse God’s intervention at the Tower of Babel.  It has always been their dream to regain the arrogant collectivism on display at the tower.  In Genesis 11, we see several characteristics that remind us of modern idolatry.  First, pride: “Let us make a name for ourselves.”  Second, disobedience: “lest we be scattered.” This is direct disobedience of the directive given to Noah (Gen.9:1).  Third, satanism: “with its top in the heavens.”  The tower is a defense against God’s next flood, but it is also an offensive attack on heaven.

With psychotic Nimrod and his astrological hijacker priests at the top, it was the epitome of everything wrong with the world.  So far, we discussed the Church and Scientism.  In this section, we hope to show the influence of actual occult idol-pushers on politics for the purpose of creating utopia.

Brethren of The Rosy Cross

The earliest secret society that epitomized the one world Babel agenda was the Rosicrucian.  Like most ancient esoteric traditions, the origins of the “rosy cross” secret society fade away into legends of heroic teachers (in this case, engineer/spiritualist Christian Rosencreutz). To operate below the Church’s radar in 1500s Europe meant keeping a low profile, and as such, a scant historical paper trail remains for historians.    What we do know is that scientists John Dee, Robert Boyle, and Francis Bacon all belonged to this subversive spiritual experiment.  We also know that the UNESCO “Comenius Medal for Education” is named after R.C. member John Comenius, who is well-known in Europe as “teacher of nations” and who was asked to be Harvard’s first president.

In his book Politics and the Occult, Gary Lachman writes that the Rosicrucian mission was to have “a general reformation and a new utopian Christian society dedicated to a progressive political ethos.”  He also tells us about some of the progress they made with political rulers: Frederick V, Elector of Palatine “enjoyed the Rosicrucian blend of Protestantism and hermetic science and was himself something of a visionary.  His castle at Heidelberg, renovated by the architect and hydraulics expert Simon de Caus, was decorated in an occult fashion and included several mechanical marvels such as water organs and singing fountains …set in fantastic gardens and grottos…arranged in allegorical and mythological designs.  Combining music, mathematics and science, they were spoken of as an eighth wonder of the world.”

The group leaves behind many books like Christianopolis and New Atlantis that are early descriptions of Utopia.  Other works demonstrate their gnostic and ecumenical leanings like The City of the Sun.  The Chemical Wedding symbolically illustrates their beliefs in spiritual alchemy.  They had a faith in science, medicine, machines, automation, “artificial songs,” and even “data repositories” that almost recalls the progressive religion of Silicon Valley 400 years later.

The Illuminati

The Rosicrucians mixed Christ with Hermes and science with idol devices, reducing the truth and creating their own “image of the beast” religion.  They were subversive, yet still thought of themselves as moral Christians, rebelling against an ignorant authoritarian Church.  What followed them was much more aggressive, nefarious, and sinful.  Mainland European Freemasons, Jacobins, and Illuminati offered occult paganism, atheism, feminism, mesmerism, egalitarianism and free love.  The original Illuminati plan, according to founder Adam Weishaupt, was akin to the Fabian tortoise: “princes and nations shall disappear from the face of the earth without violence…[so that] the human race should attain its highest perfection, the capacity to judge itself” (Politics and the Occult pg.80).

The legacy of the Illuminati lives on to this day.  In the U.S. House of Representatives, two larger-than life paintings face the chamber: one is of George Washington, the other is of Illuminati member Marquis de Lafayette!  Although George Washington was a member of the Scottish Freemasons, he denied affiliation with the Illuminati.  The American Revolution seems to have been tempered by the influence of many of the Christian founding fathers.  In the case of the French Revolution, however, the path to “illumination” was through mob rule spirit and senseless slaughter.

The mob rule on display during the Reign of Terror is an example of another power, which these destructive Satanists seem to have.  Creating a collective spirit, called an egregore by scholars of the occult, is almost always an evil thing.  Mass hypnosis, team spirit, mob rule, mass hysteria, groupthink, herd mentality, zeitgeist, whatever you want to call it, goes a long way in explaining how sane people are possessed to follow crazy directives.  In modern times, children have put their own parents “up against the wall” for execution.  Sensible German people have turned in their own neighbors and operated gas chambers.  Egregore explains how a business corporation can take on a psychotic “bottom line” of “blood for money” even though its CEOs are moral educated individuals.  The “Lord of the Flies” group spirit of collectivism can certainly take on a life of its own.

Utopia Is Here

The Rosicrucian, Illuminati, and Freemason ideas of secretly influencing the political “heavens” to bring about Utopia are alive and well today.  In fact, most of their goals have already been achieved!  In order to illustrate this, we will discuss Brave New World by Aldous Huxley (1932).  Although a socialist himself, Aldous Huxley was horrified at the Fabian Socialist and Technocracy movements.  Let’s look at some of Huxley’s warnings about what these idol-pushers were planning to do (even in the 1910s!) using propaganda, drugs, and technology to reshape mankind and become godlike “world-controllers.”  While we read his warnings, let’s also consider how far along they are in their plans.

In Brave New World people no longer read books.  The people instead flit from one picture-show to the next in an all-senses experience called the “feelies.”  This is reminiscent of the endless movies on Netflix and the virtual reality sensory goggles gaining popularity today.  “Wisdom” is taught through “sleep-teaching” where children learn propaganda from their pillows by shear repetition. This sounds like the earbuds that kids fall sleep with nowadays. The saying “a gram is better than a damn” indicates that it is better to take a 1 gm “soma” pill than to cope with emotions.  The “soma” pills in the book sound like the opioids that are killing 40,000 people a year in the US today.  Children are taught to celebrate death in the book, since a friend’s body gets recycled and used by the collective society, which is the real living being.  The women in the book are genetically and socially engineered to be “freemartins,” that is sterilized, masculinized and equalized.  There are no such things as mothers and fathers or families (the words are obscenities!).  All babies are created through scientific labs where they are genetically engineered into a caste system.  The children are transformed by social engineering, which includes sexualization in kindergarten.

Huxley saw our world today, with the fertility clinics, the stem cell research, drugs to stop emotions, our desensitization to violence, the intentional destruction of the family unit, and incessant propaganda hijacking schools.   But even he was unable to envision the horror of “Drag Queen Story Hour” at our public libraries in 2020!  “Everyone belongs to everyone else” in the book, so free love and promiscuity are liberally and guiltlessly practiced.  The young women are trained to take birth control from their “Malthusian belts” and the ubiquitous abortion clinics are lit up in cheery pink lights.   Sadly, the Empire State Building was lit up in pink in 2018 to celebrate the passing of a New York law allowing elective abortions up until the day of birth!  Malthusianism, or population control, is back in style today more than ever.  No matter that there is population shrinkage in 40 countries of the world, the media still tells young people to “Stop having kids!”

The blanket statement in the book “Everybody is happy nowadays” means that no one is ever alone; they are constantly advised by peers who parrot the talking points they were taught through “hypnopaedia” and “sleep-teaching.”  Doesn’t this sound like the subtle herding we get from Facebook “likes” and “dislikes?”  And if you do start to feel bad, you take more “soma” because “when the individual feels, the community reels.”  A collective society will not need God.  “It is natural to believe in God when you are alone” the world-controller explains “but people are never alone now…we arrange their lives so that it’s almost impossible for them to ever have it.”  Running to and fro on the earth, with no time to meditate.  Knowledge increasing, but people conditioned only for entertainment and drugs.

Invisible Conditioning

To this writer, Huxley’s world seems to have arrived, and parallels to our day abound.   But to those carefully conditioned (by the schools, entertainment, and media of the past 50 years), there is probably “no cause for alarm.”  To them, “all things have continued as they were from the beginning of creation (2 Pet. 3:4).”  This writer must admit, as a teen reading Brave New World in 1988, he saw absolutely no relevance.  His conditioning must have been working!  The fish doesn’t realize he is in water.  The deceived is always the last to know.  We cannot come out of Babylon until we recognize we are in it.

In Brave New World, everything is measured in terms of its consumer worth, so you are forever throwing out your perfectly good (iPhone? computer? Car?) to buy a new one because “ending is better than mending.”  Medical injections and supplements stave off old age…right up until you suddenly die at 65!  Proud about their accomplishments, one of the world-controllers in the book brags: “Now[adays]…the old men work, the old men copulate, the old men have no time, no leisure from pleasure, not a moment to sit and think…safe on the solid ground of daily labor and distraction, scampering from feely to feely, from girl to pneumatic girl, from golf course to…[golf course].”  Amused to death, everyone is taught, “never put off till tomorrow the fun you can have today.”

In Their Own Words

We are certainly watching the “rulers of this present darkness” erect this Brave New World right before our eyes.  They seem to be reading Brave New World and 1984 as instruction manuals rather than as warnings!  It might be nice to think that Aldous Huxley had no actual group of idol-pushing God-hating con men in mind when he wrote his “prophecy.”  It might be nice to think he was just imagining an evil science fiction world and by some coincidence it all came true.  But no, instead he was describing a plan.  And Aldous Huxley knew the planners.  His brother, Julian in fact was one of them!  Julian wrote the “purpose and philosophy” of the group who would go on to hammer and mold the world into the image of their agendas.

In UNESCO, Its Purpose and Its Philosophy, Julian Huxley, brother of Brave New World author Aldous Huxley writes: “[UNESCO] must envisage some form of world political unity, whether through a single world government or otherwise.”  He also says “the key to man’s advance is cumulative tradition…a common pool of ideas…capable of evolving” and “the more united man’s tradition becomes, the more rapid will be the possibility of progress.”  And finally, “the best and only certain way of securing this will be through political unification.”

While most of the world is not “pure evil” in open warfare against God, the agenda of the idol-pushers and deceivers is satanic (“adversarial” to God).  Just like the moneychangers, scribes and Pharisees, they are knowingly usurping God’s throne.   “They walk in the way of Cain and abandon themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam’s error (Jude 11).”  They are “the great dragon… the ancient serpent, devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world (Rev. 12:9).”  They are not immortal fallen angels, but their spirit keeps coming back like the dragon of revelation, presiding over events throughout the ages.  They are locked up, disappear, then appear again, like Haman (another Amalekite!?!).  They hijack every major institution, creating global corruption and democide.  They are the influencers who are the modern-day equivalent to Nimrod and Jezebel.  They are the wives of Solomon, and they are Jeroboam the son of Nebat who made Israel to sin.  They are the moneychangers who employ spin doctors, drug reps, wizards of finance and P.R. men, who provide movie magic, subliminal mesmerizing, trojan horses, and soothsaying.  Yes, the Bible teaches us that God wins in the end; but meanwhile, “the whole world is in the power of the evil one.  And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, to know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. Little children, keep yourselves from idols (John 5:19-21).”
