"Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matt 5:16 NIV)." There are many opportunities to shine our light as believers in Christ, and lots of good work to be done in our local communities.

The first chapters of our Bible reveal a God who made sexuality core to the human experience. It was a beautiful gift to enjoy and a way for Adam and Eve to “fill the earth and subdue it.” (Gen 1:28 ESV). However, if we do not treasure and respect sexuality as God intended, it leads to perversion, idolatry, shame, addiction, and even self-destruction. Its unitive and procreative powers are removed and debased.

Knowledge is good. In fact, the right knowledge of God’s Word is necessary for salvation.

Before we get to the conclusion, let’s go back to the beginning. The Tidings Committee annually works to decide on a theme for a Special Issue as a combined July/August issue. This year the theme selected was “Contemporary Issues.”
