Since beginning their work in Mozambique in 1996, the number of brothers and sisters in this country of 29 million is 13,000, with 404 ecclesias. This country now has more Christadelphians than any country in the world! Additionally, there are about 9,500 Sunday School members across Mozambique.

For some people this might be information that they are very familiar with, but for the majority of brethren in North America I think those two statements will be quite startling.

The gap between the tremendous preaching successes in Africa and India and the obstacles to growth we face in traditional areas is astounding. We need to rejoice in the former and overcome the latter. The Tidings will do all we can to encourage both. We’ll be eager to provide an ongoing forum for continued discussion and reporting of progress.

In our reading today from Revelation 19, there's a triumphant response to what has just happened in the previous chapter, where God has finally dealt with the corrupt religious system of Rome. The people in chapter 19 keep saying, "Hallelujah."

Our reading today in Isaiah 54 contains within it a beautiful reminder of God’s covenant love towards His people. In verses 7-8, God tells them He has disciplined them but won’t forget His everlasting covenant, saying in verse 8, “with everlasting love I will have compassion on you.”
