This Day is a day of New Creation, Purification, Salvation, and Life for His People. Out of the circumstances we considered in the previous study, God is about to “create Jerusalem a rejoicing, her people a joy.” (Isa 65:9)

As we did in the second part of this study, we will carefully work through the details and implications in this final prophecy.

Zechariah 12-14 is not just another series of prophecies about the “last days”: It is specifically about the creation of God’s People, the New Jerusalem, the Kingdom of God. It is the time of the new heavens and earth, the new order of things that replaces the world as we know it now. We are standing with Zechariah on the very threshold of the Kingdom of God on this earth, and he is about to reveal to us how it will all come to pass.

Tucked away at the end of our reading in 1 Kings 16 is the story of a man who rebuilt the city of Jericho. It’s a curious little footnote in the otherwise well-known record of the life of King Ahab.

Do we, as Christadelphians, know this? Should we know?

Some human emotions have immense power, which, if we don’t keep them in check, can overwhelm us. One of those is envy.

We as Christadelphians are not alone in our belief regarding not participating in the governments of this world, neither historically or in this day and age.

Just like in our pursuit of work, our resume for the Kingdom needs to be the best that we can make it.

Everything came to a head during the events recorded in Mark 14. On the eve of his death, the pressure Jesus experienced was immense. But he wasn’t the only one under pressure.
